I have a concern. I'm interested in a thunder stone, but the shape is very, very inaccurate. It's obvious you're using the same shape mould for each stone [and I like that shape on all the other stones except that one], but thunder is supposed to be a skinny stone as seen here: cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thu… and here: cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/0/0…
Would I be able to get one that looks more accurate? I'd absolutely pay extra. The colour doesn't bother me, though. I'm actually a little happier with the colour pictured. I hope this doesn't come across as rude since I know nothing about the difficulty of the process used to create these stones, I'm just insanely picky about things like this.
Hello there! We go have a new Thunderstone coming out in the next few weeks with a new color profile and a new thunderbolt design to better match the anime style. However the stone shape will be the same.
I understand being picky, heh, but at the moment we don't plan on changing the overall shape of our Pokemon Stones. If we do in the future, we'll revise all of our stones at once and that will be shown here on DA and our Facebook.
whoa these are cool!>.....although im confused as to why the lighting stone is blue when its supposed to be green and have the lightning bolt but oh well X3 its awesmoe i guess you did that in order to let you see it better i like it its relaly cool
You know, its the strangest thing. We actually use a Green dye for this stone, but it is more of a Teal. But you are partially correct, we did want something that's not Water Stone Blue, or Leaf Stone Green. Something in between .
These are cool, just wish the thunderstone had a more striking or sharper lightning look. And I believe you could have don ebetter with that particular one overall. It has a blue look to t however it's supposed to be green: [link] And the moonstone usually is a bit more grey. But the others are great. You do really really good work. Keep it up.
I think my fav in this set is that leaf stone. it's just so well done.
Thanks for all your comments. And yeah...Artistic License . Actually, with the dyes we use, using the same green for both the leaf and the lightning just didnt seem to work well, and mixing extremely strong dyes can be very challenging to keep consistent.
As for the lightning, we actually used a toy Pikachus Tail to model the bolt! Lol. We would like to maybe do a redesign in the future with the traditional two-angle bolt, but bigger fish to try at the moment .
Oddly enough, if you read the descriptions of the stones in game, they describe them very dark. Actually, here is the description from every game FireRed/LeafGreen and on "A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is as black as the night sky."
